The Entrepreneur Effect
July 15 @ 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM PDT
Join a live, 30-minute question-and-answer workshop with Kevin Williams and Steve Lamb, two of the West Business Development Center‘s most seasoned business experts. Kevin and Steve will speak about progress and change.
In a time of truly bad news involving the impacts of COVID-19 on people’s businesses and lives we had to ask ourselves, “What about the good news?” For example, did you know that there are businesses that are changing their business models and thriving? Or that there are businesses that are expanding? If you want to hear more, join our weekly live Q&A and ask Kevin and Steve.
Kevin has over 25 years of leadership experience in Fortune 100 companies. He has a diverse background in the telecommunications field and in the cable television industry. As a founder and managing partner of FutureDecisions LLC, he spent nine years working primarily with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and the private sector, consulting on career planning, workforce succession planning, strategic planning, generational challenges, human resources, and leadership coaching.
His last corporate position was that of Vice President of Customer Service in the cable industry. He holds a Master’s degree in organizational development and human resources. At the West Business Development Center, his areas of expertise include human resources, operational issues, marketing, and general business dynamics. Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge to the position, founded in his years in large corporations and running his own successful business.
Steve has worked with West Business Development Center clients since 2012. With over 20 years of experience in management and operations in the telecommunications industry, he alsoowned his own company, Interview Team. Steve’s particular areas of expertise include strategic and tactical planning, budgeting and financial analysis, project development and management, and creating and maintaining positive relationships with governmental and regulatory agencies.
Steve also excels in a number of human resources areas including maximizing employee productivity and maintaining high employee morale, managing high risk employees, and developing supervisors and managers. Steve says that one of his favorite things about working with West Company clients is “suggesting clients look at a particular issue from a perspective which is different from any they previously considered. Suddenly I can see from their body language and facial expressions they now understand the point I’m trying to make and the impact it can have on their business venture. This is the advantage of the clarity and non-emotional analysis of being on the outside looking in.”
