DETAILS: Meet two history-making women candidates for Fort Bragg City Council on Thursday, October 11, 7:30 to 9 AM with Coast Women in Business at the Caspar Community Center. Part of the upsurge of women currently running for public office nationwide, Tess Albin-Smith and Mary Rose Kaczorowski are running in a field of seven. They’ve already made history just by running.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Tess Albin-Smith
Active as a substitute teacher, musician, and school and tour bus driver, Tess previously worked as Jackson Demonstration State Forest assistant manager, California state biologist and forester, one of the first female foresters with the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF), working in reforestation and prescribed burning programs, and CDF peace officer. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Renewable Natural Resources and a Master of Science degree in Range Management, both from the University of California, Davis.

Mary Rose Kaczorowski
Currently serving as a volunteer for many local nonprofit organizations, Mary Rose previously worked as a journalist, credentialed Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) representative, and classroom instructor. A College of the Redwoods graduate, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy from Mills College, Oakland, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from California State University.
